Car subscription in Padua and its province, delivered straight to your door

Padua's ZTL covers the historic centre and is controlled by cameras at seven gates. Zone A is closed to traffic on weekdays from 8:00 to 23:30 and on holidays from 14:00 to 23:30. The Piazze in zone B are closed around the clock, as are the Largo Europa and via Busonera gates. Entry needs an authorisation displayed on the dashboard; the Comune issues temporary permits of up to two hours through its online portal. A 30 km/h limit applies throughout the zone.

Parking is not included in your subscription and follows the same rules as for any other driver. Inside the ZTL you may only park in authorised spaces; vehicles parked irregularly may be towed, whether inside or outside the marked bays. If you live in Padua, we recommend checking with the Comune which permits are available for your zone and what documents are required for a subscription vehicle that is not registered directly in your name.

From 1 October to 30 April, Padua applies seasonal traffic limits across the whole comune. The tangenziali ring, the motorways and the industrial zone are excluded. The limits run on three alert levels set by ARPAV's PM10 bulletin: at green level they apply on weekdays from 8:30 to 18:30, and at orange and red they extend across the weekend. Each level bans a wider band of older vehicles, starting with the oldest diesels. The Comune publishes each season's ordinance and the current alert level.

In Padua, easier ZTL access is currently reserved for fully electric vehicles, once their plate is registered with the Comune.
